The Simple Share Buttons Adder does exactly what it says on the tin – adds share buttons to all of your posts and/or pages, simply. You can have share links on your WordPress website/blog in under a minute! More of a watcher than a reader? Watch the tutorial below…
Once you have installed and activated your plugin, navigate to the SSBA Admin Panel via ‘Settings’ -> ‘Share Buttons’.
You will then be greeted by the following screen:
Set where on your site you would like to include your share buttons.
When using the Simple Share Buttons Adder, you can choose their placement on your posts or pages – Before, After, or both. Select the option that you desire from the drop-down option.
You can also use
[ssba_hide] to show or hide share buttons from posts/pages.
Change the text that appears with your buttons to whatever you wish.
Choose your favourite set of Share Buttons from the ‘Image Set’ drop-down menu, or set to ‘Custom’ to upload your own.

Drag, drop and reorder the buttons that you wish to include on your website, from left to right.
Set the width of your buttons in pixels.
Your Share Buttons will follow your default css attribute for images, this has been named on SSBA as ‘Left’, purely because this is the default for most websites. If you wish to center your Share Buttons, select ‘Center’ from the ‘Alignment’ menu. This shall most likely work best for mobile websites.
Add or reduce the padding around the images by adjusting the ‘Padding’ option.
Set your share text to a custom color, or leave blank for it to inherit the color of your main text.
Choose from the available font families or set the share text to inherit this from your website.
Set the size of your share text font, in pixels
Pick the weight for your share text
Choose where you would like your text to appear, in relation to the buttons.
Set some padding to the Share Buttons container if needed.
Pick a background colour for the container if you wish.
Set the colour for the container’s border.
Set the width for the container’s border.
Check/uncheck the box to add/remove rounded corners to the Share Buttons container.
If you wish to style the buttons using your own CSS, click ‘custom CSS’ and enter your code in the text box.
Check/uncheck the ‘Show’ option to show/hide share counters.
Check/uncheck the show once option,leaving it checked deactivates share counts for categories and archives allowing them to load more quickly. This option is recommended to be left checked.
Pick the style of counters that suits your website best.
If you’d like to customise your share counts via CSS, click ‘custom CSS’ and enter your own code.
Check/uncheck the ‘Links’ option to set share links to open in a new/the same window.
Add some text that will be added to emails when shared that way.
Check/uncheck the ‘Share text link’ option to link/unlink the share text to simplesharebuttons.com
Click ‘Save changes’ to save your share buttons setup.
And that’s it! Your Share Buttons will be displayed where and how you have configured them!
