How do I add Share Buttons to my header or footer?

The simplest way is to edit your theme’s files, e.g. header.php or footer.php.

I've checked the 'Homepage' option, but my buttons aren't appearing there?

This option can be misunderstood by some people. By checking this box, Simple Share Buttons Adder will add share buttons above/below the excerpts of your posts that are displayed on your homepage, but only if your theme is setup in this manner.

If you are using a separate page entirely for your homepage, you will need to use the shortcode feature supplied.

How do I hide buttons on a page or post?

Simple! Just add the following code anywhere in the content, this will hide any set of share buttons displayed on that page.

Can the link to simplesharebuttons.com be removed?

Obviously I’d be happier if all share text linked back to this site, but it’s only fair that it shouldn’t have to!

All you need to do, is click the ‘Advanced’ tab and uncheck the ‘Share Text Link’ option.

My buttons are appearing vertically, how can I sort this?

A few people have reported this before, you may well have a Pinterest plugin installed.

If you do, enter ssba as a class to be ignored by the plugin.
